Telangana AI Mission (T-AIM), powered by NASSCOM, was established in 2020 by the Government of Telangana with a vision to position Telangana as a global hub for Artificial Intelligence and foster social innovation. To encourage innovation within the AI community, T-AIM actively conducts various initiatives throughout the year.

About AI for Social Good Awards

Empowering India’s AI for Social Good Narratives

Artificial intelligence has the potential to achieve a significant amount of social good in India. It can be used in a variety of ways to improve healthcare, education, agriculture, transportation, environmental sustainability, financial services, among others. To encourage an even higher adoption of AI in socially important sectors, we introduce you to the AI for Social Good Awards - to recognise and empower innovative and impactful AI applications for the social sector emerging from India’s startup ecosystem.

For each category, ₹7 lakhs will be issued to the winning startup to further scale their social sector innovation.

  • Is there any application fee?

    No

  • What is the deadline to apply?

    The application period for AI for Social Good Awards 2023 will be open from Feb 1-28, 2023.

  • How and where will the jury interviews be held?

    The jury round would be conducted virtually. Details will be shared with the shortlisted startups by email.

  • How will the submitted data/information be shared or used?

    The information shared by you/your company in the application or when asked for during the award consideration will be reviewed only by the organizing team and jury members. Post award, the organizers and/or its partners may undertake coverage of the winning entries through various means and form. This is only to showcase and further amplify the good work your company is doing. Sensitive details, if any, can be redacted upon request and will not be shared further.

  • What are the eligibility criteria?

    1. The application must have a use case for any of the following themes: Health & Sanitation, Skill Development & Livelihoods, Sustainable Environment.

    2. The use case should be live and not in pilot/protype stage.

    3. The use-case will be judged purely on the merit of impact over the past 1-2 years even if it has been operational longer than that.

    4. The start-up should be incorporated in India. The AI Solution needs to be deployed in India.

  • How will I know the status of the application?

    Applicants would be informed on the next steps. Please note communication will only be sent to the email address shared along with your application.

  • Is there an offline form that I can refer to?

    Yes. You may download the offline form that is provided only for your reference. However, only online applications would be considered.

  • Can I submit more than one application if my startup has several use cases?

    Yes. A startup can apply for multiple categories and use cases.
