The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), on behalf of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Kakinada, has once again pushed back the release of the AP EAMCET (AP EAPCET) 2026 results. Originally expected on June 1, and then re-scheduled for June 30, the results for the Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test will now be declared on July 2, 2026, on the official portal, cets.apsche.ap.gov.in.
Why Were the Results Postponed Again?
According to multiple reports, the AP EAPCET 2026 results were delayed due to the AP Intermediate (Class 12) Advanced Supplementary examinations and their results were still pending. Since the AP EAPCET final merit list gives a mandatory 25% weightage to Intermediate marks, APSCHE decided to wait until the supplementary exam results were finalised before computing the combined ranks. The authority wants to ensure that updated Class 12 records — including those from CBSE and supplementary streams — are fully integrated into the normalisation process, so that no eligible candidate is disadvantaged once the final rank list is published.

What the Rank Card Will Contain
The AP EAPCET 2026 scorecard/rank card is expected to include:
- Candidate’s personal and exam details
- Subject-wise marks
- Normalised score (since the exam was conducted in multiple shifts across several days, normalisation adjusts for difficulty variation between shifts)
- Qualifying status
- State Integrated Rank, along with category-wise rank
Qualifying Marks
- General, BC, and EWS category candidates need a minimum of 40 out of 160 marks (25%) to qualify.
- There is no minimum qualifying mark prescribed for SC and ST candidates.
Tie-Breaking Criteria
In case two or more candidates secure the same combined score, APSCHE applies the following tie-breaking order while preparing the merit/rank list:
- Candidate with higher total marks in AP EAPCET gets the higher rank
- If still tied, higher marks in Mathematics are considered
- If still tied, higher marks in Physics are considered
- If still tied, a higher percentage of aggregate marks in the qualifying (10+2) examination is considered
- If the tie persists even after this, the older candidate (by date of birth) is given the higher rank
What Happens After the Results
Once the AP EAPCET 2026 results and rank list are declared, APSCHE is expected to release a formal notification for centralized counselling, which will include:
- Online registration and payment of processing fee
- Document/certificate verification
- Web options entry (choice filling for colleges and branches)
- Seat allotment
- Self-reporting and reporting to the allotted college
Counselling is tentatively expected to commence sometime in July 2026, though the exact schedule will be notified separately by APSCHE.
A Quick Note for Candidates
- Keep their hall ticket number, registration number, and date of birth handy
- Avoid relying on rumours about exact release times — official confirmation should come from APSCHE
- Watch the official site closely on July 2, as heavy traffic is expected immediately after the announcement
- Download and save multiple copies of the rank card once released, since it is essential for every subsequent stage of counselling and admission
When will the result be released?
The results will now be declared on July 2, 2026.
