Why Was KEAM Rank List 2026 Delayed?
The delay was primarily triggered by the CBSE Class 12 revaluation results, which were announced on June 21, 2026. Since the KEAM rank formula incorporates Class 12 board marks with a 50% weightage, Higher Education Minister Roji M. John directed the CEE to extend the Plus Two marks submission window till June 23, 2026, to ensure that CBSE students whose scores were revised after revaluation were not placed at a disadvantage.
KEAM 2026 Toppers List — Engineering & Pharmacy
The CEE released the KEAM 2026 toppers list simultaneously with the rank list. Separate toppers have been announced for the Engineering and Pharmacy streams. The toppers list includes the candidate’s name, score out of 600 (Engineering) or 300 (Pharmacy), and their district/state.

How Were Engineering Ranks Prepared? (Marking Formula)
The KEAM 2026 engineering rank list has been prepared using the following 50:50 weightage formula:
| Component | Weightage | Maximum Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Normalised KEAM Entrance Score (Maths + Physics + Chemistry) | 50% | 300 marks |
| Normalised Class 12 Board Marks (Maths + Physics + Chemistry) | 50% | 300 marks |
| Final Index Score (Total) | 100% | 600 marks |
A standardisation/normalisation procedure has been adopted to ensure parity among candidates from different education boards — CBSE, CISCE, Kerala State Board, and other recognised boards. The normalisation is done using the Percentile Interpolated Average Method.
Important substitutions if subjects are not available:
- If Chemistry was not studied: Marks in Computer Science are used.
- If Chemistry & Computer Science were not studied: Marks in Biotechnology are used.
- If none of the above: Marks in Biology are used.

How Are Pharmacy Ranks Prepared?
The B.Pharm rank list is prepared solely based on the candidate’s score in the KEAM Pharmacy Entrance Examination, with a maximum possible score of 300 marks. In cases of a tie, priority is given based on:
- Higher pre-normalised score in Chemistry
- Higher pre-normalised score in Physics
- Higher number of correct responses in Chemistry
- Higher number of correct responses in Physics
- Age — older candidate ranked higher
- Final decision of CEE, if tie persists
